Hey guy. Thank you for reaching out concerning your social media giving you anxiety. Some times social media is elusive and can be addictive. However, I am wondering, is the WhatsApp triggering your anxiety in a way that you feel like its messing you in other areas? Do you feel like you are getting addicted to WhatsApp? What do you mean by “Been a few hours? Now I think am ready? But I told myself two Weeks?” You seem to absorb something by reacting, “Minimum ….. Why is modern life complicated?” Tell more so that we can be able to help better. We appreciate your reaching out again.

I keep feeling like if a text message comes and don't reply to.. It could be something as important or annoying... Its a gut feeling what if someone texted me and told me they have really bad news..

Hallo there!! Thank you for reaching out again and clarifying the reason for delete of WhatsApp and why it’s giving you the worst anxiety. WhatsApp is a way of digital social communication. The same way the very people you fear to communicate some information over the medium may do it verbally. The best is to train yourself to have resilient over such. Then you develop self-care to attend to what you can and leave the untenable.

The advantage of WhatsApp communication is that it’s easier at any place to communicate your views and vise vasa. The modern way of communications is here with us to stay, and you need to adjust yourself to advantages, being aware as well as conscious of its disadvantages. It’s good to block the communication gargets of those who you may consider to communicate issues of unnecessary anxiety.

Yet, feeling anxious of some issues is normal and a part of our life. It’s not all anxieties that are negative. Some anxieties are positive and good for our mental and physical health. The difference is the ability to avoid unnecessary WhatsApp that cause anxiety. The messages communicated via any media are observed by the recipient to fit the ability to action on response. If the news are good or band it’s the recipient supposed to process and deal with it mentally because the same can be communicated verbally and the effect is the same. You need to condition yourself to huddle such. Social media will only be a problem where it consumes your time affecting other aspects of your life and this is what you need to avoid not to suffer media addiction.

Hello,  you have mentioned that Whatsapp gives you anxiety and this is why you deleted it.  What causes you anxiety?  Not wanting to miss out on anything so you feel pressured to be online all the time?  Or is the anxiety caused by specific people in your contacts list.  once you understand the source of the anxiety then you can ask yourself what you worry about, an example let's say it's missing out,  you can the ask yourself what is the worst that could happen should something happen and you don't know about it,  once you answer that question, you can go ahead and challenge your answer.  How true is it?  Use facts not feelings to analyze it.
You see, anxiety is usually fueled by our own thoughts that are not always accurate. understanding why we are anxious and then challenging those thoughts can help reduce the anxiety.
Let us know if this helped. And if you would like to share more on the same, please do so,  we are here to listen and help best way we can

Yes thank you for the help
